SOLD 1957 Ford Thunderbird
This 1957 Ford Thunderbird has been fully and professionally restored. The body is extremely straight. Out of the 21,000 Birds sold in 1957 less than 300 were original Cll equipped with its original 312/245hp V8, power steering, power brakes Porthole Hardtop, factory Radio and as a nice touch the front brakes were upgraded to discs making this a very reliable car to drive on a regular basis. All major systems were completely gone through during the cars restoration process including the engine, transmission, exhaust, cooling system, suspension, brakes, all rubber seals, direct replacement carburetor, new wide white wall radials, complete NOS interior…etc. The car drives just the way it was intended to the day it rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn June 20th 1957. The restoration process was completed April of 2007 and the car has been driven approximately 1200 miles since to make sure any kinks have been worked out. This beautiful automotive icon is ready for the road. The owner being a Thunderbird enthusiast preserved the immaculate chrome and stainless trim during the restoration and they remain original today and in beautiful condition. This is a testament to both the quality of the car prior to restoration as well as the car that went into restoring this car. This 1957 Thunderbird will make a nice compliment to any collection and is ready for both shows and most importantly the road.
